Job Description

Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer

Work Location: Fremont, Livermore, CA (Position needed in Fremont, CA. They will also need to drive to Livermore, CA occasionally)

Duration: Six Months Plus

Responsibilities

• Daily administration and support of Voice, Video, and Unified Communications environment
• Implement, maintain, and provide operational support for common VOIP Protocols, Call Components and Transports
• Monitor voice, video, and Unified Communications environment performance and troubleshoot problems as necessary
• Create and maintain documentation on all aspects of a global telecommunications environment including participation in the development of hardware, software, and documentation standards
• Interact with users and business partners in a consultative manner to gather and understand requirements to implement acceptable solutions

• Prioritize and execute multiple projects and tasks in a high-pressure environment and provide timely status. Conduct research on varied topics as required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with customer service orientation
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills while working in a collaborative environment. Must also possess the ability to articulate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical people
• Maintain a collaborative approach in dealing with other employees
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to reach mutually beneficial solutions
• Monitor and review work for accuracy and completeness. Complete work according to procedures and standards
• Strong technical knowledge and experience with configuration and troubleshooting networking and telephony issues independently and successfully
• Must have analog device experience including a punch down tool and a telephone test set
• Must be able to physically walk around campuses and travel between the Fremont and Livermore campuses
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
