Systems Engineer - Space Force MUOS Scottsdale, AZ Contract Position Pay Estimated: $65.73-$70.73/Hour This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.) Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains. Responsibilities: * Define, develop, and sustain enhancements to an active DoD communications system supporting MUOS (Mobile User Objective System). 
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams across software, hardware, and system integration disciplines. 
* Develop and manage system-level requirements, architecture, and interface definitions across the system development lifecycle. 
* Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and systems thinking to develop scalable, mission-ready solutions. 
* Ensure alignment of system capabilities with warfighter mission needs through requirement traceability and verification. 
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and integration planning across multiple technical domains. 
* Work in Agile development environments to continuously evolve and improve system capabilities. 
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship, helping others succeed while shaping future capabilities. Qualifications: * U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law * Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance 
* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline (Master's preferred). 
* 5+ years of experience in system engineering roles (or 3+ with Master's). 
* Experience in DoD programs, especially space or communication systems. 
* Strong background in complex software and hardware integration. 
* Proficient in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama) and modeling tools (e.g., Cameo, Enterprise Architect). 
* Understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) and configuration management. Preferred Qualifications: * Hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer on large, complex, software-centric systems. 
* Familiarity with MUOS, tactical communications, or satellite communication systems. 
* Experience in Agile or DevSecOps environments. 
* Exposure to SysML, MBSE, interface control documents (ICDs), and system-level test planning. 
* Knowledge of warfighter operational use cases, especially in joint or space operations.
