Location: UPMC Susquehanna Medical Group
Schedule: Part-Time (.8 FTE) | 32 hours/week | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures to assist in accurate medical diagnoses.

• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and easing concerns.

• Assist physicians with invasive procedures while adhering to universal protocol standards.

• Ensure accurate coding, documentation, and image archiving for all exams.

• Maintain high-level disinfection standards for devices and equipment.

• Utilize advanced ultrasound instrumentation and demonstrate expertise in scanning techniques.

• Correlate patient history, lab data, and physical findings to optimize imaging results.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Completion of a formal Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.

• Licensure & Certifications:
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) – Registered or registry-eligible preferred.

  • Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred.

  • Must obtain RDMS within 12 months of hire .

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal)

  • Act 33 (with renewal)

  • Act 34 (with renewal)

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal)
