Your greatest work is ahead!

The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Service Operations Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

  • Develop and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts for validating cybersecurity system functionality, security, and performance.
  • Define test objectives, criteria, and schedules in alignment with project requirements and deadlines.
  • Validate system configurations, software updates, and hardware changes to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Identify, document, and track defects or issues discovered during testing, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Work with development and engineering teams to validate fixes and improvements.
  • Establish and maintain QA processes and standards for the cybersecurity program.
  • Conduct reviews of system documentation, code, and configurations to ensure compliance with security and quality requirements.
  • Prepare test reports, including findings, recommendations, and metrics, to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results to support audits and accreditation efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, development, systems integration, and program management to support system delivery.
  • Provide recommendations for improving the quality, security, and performance of systems and solutions.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Favorable if you have:

  • Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards and frameworks, such as DevSecOps.
  • Experience with testing and QA tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Postman, Nessus, Metasploit).
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell) for test automation and secure coding.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Familiarity with Agile or DevSecOps methodologies is a plus.
