Job Summary The QA Automation Engineer, IV is responsible for test automation with agile and waterfall teams for core application projects which impact our care center, clients and customers. This role works with team members to ensure automated testing is completed with proper coverage for all the requirements. This role will lead the team in building test cases and automating testing across Fiserv Optis applications. This role will assist other Value Streams with their test cases for projects and cross application impact analysis. Essential Job Functions Test Design: Writes automation test scripts using an object‑oriented Ruby Cucumber framework for multiple applications like Web based, Web services and Database. Contributes to extending the existing framework. Test Execution & Reporting: Executes tests as needed throughout the project. Analyzes and reports test results. Identifies and tracks defects through their lifecycle. Utilizes defect management and organization skills, provides progress and metrics on test execution and defects to the project team. Provides leadership while contributing to team and company objectives. Follows team and company standards and contributes to refining and improving process and procedure. Ability to define and maintain test data. Subject Matter Expert: Develops and maintains expert understanding of all of the components and functionality of the system and framework. Provides guidance, mentoring, and training on testing practices and advises impacts for system changes. Business Communications: Demonstrates foundational knowledge of credit card operations, banking, financial, loyalty rewards, and credit card regulatory while working with various areas of the business. Demonstrates leadership by driving the automated testing of projects and collaborates with stakeholders in understanding the testing needs and reporting on testing results. Reports to Technology Head of Quality Assurance Direct Reports None Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 7 or more years of relevant work experience Preferred Experience Bachelor’s Degree (BE/ BTech) Area of Study: Computer Science/Information Technology or Equal Technical Degree 10 or more years of relevant work experience Certifications: International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), Certified Agile Tester (CAT), Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), and/or Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Type / focus of work experience preferred: Banking/Financial Services/Insurance Domain functional testing experience Fiserv Optis Experience Test Case Development Test Case Automation Skills Accessibility Testing Agile Methodologies API Testing Appium ATDD Atlassian JIRA BDD (Behavior Driven Development) CI Tools Cucumber Database Testing Defects Management Desktop Application Testing Device Testing Estimation Techniques Fiserv Optis Functional Testing Git
