Job Description

A TekStream client based in Northern Florida is seeking a Field Service Technician with a background in IT hardware installation, maintenance, and repair. This person will travel with a company vehicle to service various retail locations located between Tallahassee and Jacksonville, and occasionally, Tampa.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Works with the Dispatch Team to receive and discuss details of the call assignments.

· Coordinates any issues or communications with the correct functionary or help desk.

· Once the tech is on-site and has analyzed the problem; he or she repairs, replaces and/or services the computer part or machine.

· Manages own inventory levels and escalates when a part shortage occurs.

· Provide all levels of contact and problem resolution for customer issues.

· Operate all IT services according to management protocols and Service Level Agreements.

· Understand strategic direction set by senior management and implement methods and procedures set by management.

· Update and maintain Help Desk Documentation.

· Work on assigned projects within stated timelines while maintaining ticket queues and associated SLAs.

· Work with vendors to resolve issues when required.

· Requires travel as-needed and participation in after-hours on-call rotation.

· The person in this position frequently communicates with other employees/customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• 2 Year Degree or Tech School Diploma and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, wireless).
• Technical Certifications a plus but not required.
• Ability to climb ladders, demonstrate good dexterity, and capable of lifting 85 pounds.
• Detail oriented with a sense of urgency and commitment to results.
• Has the ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Configure, Deploy, and Troubleshoot issues with Desktops, Laptops, Phones and other peripherals.
• Ability to setup/install/troubleshoot local, wireless, and network printers.
• Ability to Install and troubleshoot broadband wireless devices and software.
• Understanding of a domain/corporate IT environment including PC/Laptop/Mobile phone setup.
• Understanding of Network infrastructure (generally) and Cisco Meraki (specifically) a plus.
