Job Description

Job Description

Job Description

Location: Santa Clarita, CA (Los Angeles area preferred, exceptional remote candidates considered)

Company Type: Small, agile crypto investment firm

Compensation: Base salary + performance-based commissions (negotiable based on experience)

About the Opportunity

The crypto ecosystem is rapidly growing, creating abundant investment opportunities. We're seeking a savvy, skilled software developer who wants to make money in crypto and continuously learn better ways to do so in the process.

This is NOT a traditional corporate job. If you're looking for a large, stable company with standard benefits packages and guaranteed salary, this isn't the right fit. But if you have strong programming skills, knowledge of crypto and/or investing, and want the opportunity to earn significant income based on actual results, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

What We Do

We focus on algorithmic crypto trading across multiple blockchain platforms. This is a programming and quantitative analysis role—we do NOT perform discretionary trading or manual "technical analysis" (chart reading). Our approach is data-driven, algorithmic, and based on calculated risk-taking.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies for cryptocurrency investments
  • Work with blockchain platforms including Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, and others
  • Analyze market data and financial risk using quantitative methods
  • Build, test, and optimize trading algorithms
  • Collaborate on investment decisions and strategy development
  • Scale successful algorithms as they prove profitable

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Programming experience is mandatory - if you don't have technical programming experience, please do not apply
  • Proficiency in 2 or more programming languages
  • Experience with Go (Golang) strongly preferred
  • Ability to write production-quality code for algorithmic trading systems

Crypto & Financial Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with blockchain ecosystems (Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, etc.)
  • Understanding of trading algorithms and quantitative analysis
  • Knowledge of financial mathematics and risk assessment
  • Interest in technical analysis concepts (though we use them algorithmically, not manually)

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and financial risk
  • Comfortable making calculated (not reckless) investment decisions
  • Strong analytical mindset - you can do the math and understand financial risk
  • Self-motivated and comfortable in a small company environment
  • Excellent English communication skills for coordination and technical discussions

Compensation Structure

  • Base Pay: Modest base salary (negotiable based on experience and trial period needs)
  • Performance Commission: Substantial earning potential based on trading results
  • Growth Opportunity: As algorithms succeed and generate returns, we scale up operations and compensation

We're looking for someone who is excited about performance-based compensation and wants to be rewarded directly for their contributions to profitability.

Trial Period

A 2-month trial period is required. During this time, we'll work together to test algorithms and achieve initial success. If we generate positive returns with invested capital, we'll rapidly scale up operations and compensation. Trial period pay is negotiable—we understand you need to maintain cash flow and are open to discussing your minimum requirements.

Location Preferences

We strongly prefer candidates in the Los Angeles area, particularly Santa Clarita, for in-person collaboration. However, exceptional candidates who excel in the required skills may be considered for remote work.

Ideal Candidate

You're a software developer who:

  • Has genuine interest in cryptocurrency and financial markets
  • Enjoys solving complex quantitative problems through code
  • Wants direct financial upside from successful work, not just a steady paycheck
  • Thrives in a small, dynamic environment without corporate bureaucracy
  • Can handle the responsibility and pressure of real investment decisions
  • Sees this as an opportunity to build something meaningful and profitable

How to Apply

Please submit your application including your resume highlighting relevant programming and crypto/financial experience. We'll review applications on a rolling basis and contact qualified candidates with a questionnaire and interview as applicable.

Note: This position requires technical programming skills. Candidates without coding experience will not be considered. Quantitative skills alone are not sufficient—this role requires hands-on software development for algorithmic trading systems.
