Overview Join CANDA Solutions, LLC as a Full Time or Part Time Background Field Investigator. This position is fully remote based out of your primary residence. With an active Top-Secret Clearance, you will support National Security and work with our clients and customers. The compensation range is $23.30-$42.83 per hour with additional H&W/hour and the potential to achieve a production/goal incentive. What It’s Like To Be a Background Field Investigator As a Background Field Investigator at CANDA Solutions, LLC, you will conduct federal background investigations and prepare detailed reports that adhere to Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations. Your work spans diverse cases across your geographic area of responsibility, which may require traveling to places of employment, residences, and educational institutions. Your active Top-Secret Clearance will be instrumental in navigating this field and delivering high-quality work that meets stringent federal requirements. This position supports a high-performance culture that values forward-thinking approaches and flexibility. Responsibilities To succeed, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in conducting in-person, comprehensive one-on-one subject and source interviews, review records meticulously to resolve material issues, and establish the subjects’ qualifications under investigation. The role requires producing thorough reports within tight timelines while maintaining high standards and meeting production metrics. Travel is a fundamental aspect of the job, and you must adapt to various environments and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for maintaining professional relationships with government organizations, contractors, and law enforcement agencies, and for producing detailed investigative reports. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with at least 1 year of the last 3 years working on a Federal BI contract A current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally daily depending on assignment location A home office with high-speed internet and a fax line; laptop provided by the government customer Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to type detailed, extensive reports Must complete the National Training Standards course Ability to conduct efficient and accurate investigations while meeting quality, timeliness, and production metrics Willingness to travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility to conduct investigations Experience engaging with managers and representatives at contractor facilities, various U.S. Government organizations, and law enforcement agencies to develop and maintain effective working relationships Workload will be based on availability of cases in the geographic area Opportunities available for multiple level candidates based upon qualifications Next Steps We're looking for talented individuals to join our team.
